Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G Launched in India From ₹4,499: India’s First Sovereign Smartphone Lineup Is Here

India has entered a new era of smartphone innovation with the launch of the Ai+ smartphone series. Introduced by NxtQuantum, a homegrown company founded by former Realme CEO Madhav Sheth, the lineup includes the Ai+ Pulse and Ai+ Nova 5G. Prices start from just ₹4,499. But these are not your usual budget Android phones. The Ai+ smartphones are the first in India to run on a fully indigenous mobile operating system called NxtQuantum OS. Built on top of Android 15, this sovereign OS offers complete data transparency, regional language support, and privacy features designed specifically for Indian users. With local manufacturing, government-approved cloud storage, and a Flipkart-exclusive rollout, Ai+ isn’t just launching phones. It is introducing a new standard for what a truly Indian smartphone should be.

Ai+ Smartphone Launch Marks India’s First Step Toward Mobile Independence

For over a decade, India has relied on smartphones powered by foreign operating systems, built on overseas cloud platforms, and governed by privacy rules that didn’t align with Indian needs. The Ai+ smartphone launch marks a bold attempt to change that. With NxtQuantum OS at its core, the new devices are being positioned as India’s first fully sovereign smartphone experience. This is not just a rebranded Android skin. The OS has been built in India, designed around Indian use cases, and stores all user data within MeitY-approved Google Cloud regions based in the country.

At the launch event in New Delhi, Madhav Sheth spoke openly about his vision. “Ai+ Smartphone is about putting control back in the hands of Indian users,” he said. Joining him were Shashikumar Sreedharan, Managing Director at Google Cloud India, and Smrithi Ravichandran, Vice President of Mobiles at Flipkart, who both expressed support for the project’s focus on digital self-reliance.

NxtQuantum OS is layered on top of Android 15 but introduces its own privacy dashboard, theme designer, and a customisable app experience that reflects how people in India actually use their phones. It supports regional languages out of the box and offers visibility into app behaviour that most Android users typically never see. In a country where over 800 million people now use smartphones, the idea of a truly India-governed mobile platform is long overdue.

Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G: Specs, Pricing, and Flash Sale Offers

The Ai+ smartphone series debuts with two models tailored for Indian buyers—Ai+ Pulse and Ai+ Nova 5G. Both phones come with a 6.7-inch HD+ display, large 5000mAh batteries, dual SIM support, and 50MP AI-powered rear cameras. While the hardware offers solid day-to-day performance, the real headline is the price.

The Ai+ Pulse starts at ₹4,499 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. A higher configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹6,999. The Nova 5G, which includes a faster refresh rate and 5G connectivity, is priced at ₹7,499 for 6GB + 128GB and ₹9,999 for 8GB + 128GB.

Both devices support expandable storage up to 1TB via microSD cards. The Ai+ Pulse features the Unisoc T615 processor, while the Nova 5G is powered by the more capable Unisoc T8200 chip. The Nova also supports a 120Hz refresh rate compared to the 90Hz on the Pulse, offering smoother scrolling and animations.

Flash sales for both models are scheduled on Flipkart. The Ai+ Pulse goes live on July 12 at 12 noon, followed by the Nova 5G on July 13 at the same time. Launch day offers include a ₹500 instant discount on Axis Bank credit cards and EMI transactions, three months of no-cost EMI through Bajaj Finserv, and exchange bonuses even on older or non-working phones through Flipkart’s Prexo program.

For anyone looking for a budget AI smartphone with Indian roots and modern performance, these launch offers make the entry point even more attractive.

NxtQuantum OS: India’s Answer to Privacy-Focused Android Phones

What sets the Ai+ smartphone apart is not just the hardware, but the software running underneath. Both the Pulse and Nova 5G models operate on NxtQuantum OS, a fully developed Indian mobile operating system layered over Android 15. Unlike most Android skins that focus on cosmetic tweaks, NxtQuantum OS takes a different route. It is designed to give users more transparency, more regional control, and full data visibility.

At the heart of NxtQuantum OS is a zero-trust security framework. Every app permission, data transfer, and backup is logged and made visible to the user through a system-wide privacy dashboard. The OS also supports all major Indian languages, making it easier for users from across the country to navigate without relying on English.

Other features include a theme designer tool to customise the interface, a dedicated community app, and a local wallpaper gallery. The app drawer and UI feel familiar to Android users, but everything behind the scenes is managed within India’s borders. All personal data, including app preferences, system settings, and backups, is stored securely using MeitY-approved Google Cloud regions based in the country.

For those looking for a privacy-first Android phone that doesn’t rely on foreign infrastructure, the Ai+ smartphone is a rare and timely alternative. It not only supports everyday functionality but also aligns with the growing demand for data localisation in India.

Final Thoughts: Ai+ Smartphone Isn’t Just a Budget Device—It’s a Statement

The Ai+ smartphone launch is more than just another price-versus-spec sheet comparison. It signals a turning point in how India approaches mobile technology. With local manufacturing, a homegrown operating system, and complete control over data infrastructure, NxtQuantum has managed to do what few others have attempted—build a smartphone experience that starts and ends in India.

The Pulse and Nova 5G may not compete with flagship phones on performance benchmarks, but that was never the goal. These devices are about giving Indian users affordable tools that respect their language, data, and digital identity. In a country where most phones still depend on foreign software and cloud servers, Ai+ offers something new: independence.

If NxtQuantum can deliver on its promises with long-term software support, app compatibility, and regular security updates, the Ai+ smartphone lineup could pave the way for a stronger, more self-reliant mobile ecosystem in India. And for users tired of watching their data travel overseas, that might be the best feature of all.
