Infinix Hot 60 5G Plus Launched at ₹9,999 With Circle to Search, AI Button and Gaming Features

Infinix is shaking up the budget phone scene with a launch that feels anything but budget. The new Infinix Hot 60 5G Plus packs features we usually expect in ₹25K phones, but brings them to the table for just ₹9,999. With a smart AI button, Google’s Circle to Search, a buttery 120Hz display, and a big battery, it’s clear this phone was made for Gen Z, gamers, and anyone tired of boring budget specs. The phone officially goes on sale from July 17, available on Flipkart and offline stores across India.

A Budget Phone With Features You’d Expect From a Flagship

Circle to Search was once something you’d only find on Pixel 8 or Galaxy S24 series phones. Infinix has now dropped it into a phone under ₹10,000 and that’s a game-changer. You can search anything on your screen instantly just by circling it. No typing. No switching apps.

Then there’s the AI button. It’s a customisable key placed smartly on the side, just below the volume rocker. One tap or a long press can launch over 30 apps, toggle settings, or open your voice recorder. Hold it down and it activates Folax, Infinix’s smart assistant that can answer questions, set alarms, or even guide your camera.

This isn’t just surface-level AI. You get features like AI Call Assistant, which screens and responds to calls, and an AI Writing Assistant that helps you type faster, smarter, and more fluently. For a phone in this price bracket, that’s unheard of.

MediaTek Dimensity 7020 Powers the Hot 60 5G+

Under the hood, the Hot 60 5G Plus runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7020, a 6nm chip that has already proven itself in phones priced much higher. It may be marketed as budget, but the performance you get here feels far more mid-range. Everyday apps open quickly, multitasking feels fluid, and network switching is fast enough to handle heavy 5G loads.

The phone comes with 6GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You can bump up the RAM virtually by another 6GB, and if that’s not enough, you also get support for microSD expansion up to 2TB. That means no more deleting photos just to install a new app.

What stands out is Infinix’s claim that this phone is built to stay lag-free for five years. While we haven’t tested that long, even in the first few hours of usage, everything from scrolling to switching tabs feels snappy. And in this price segment, that kind of consistency is rare.

120Hz Display, 700 Nits Brightness and Slim 7.8mm Build

I didn’t expect a phone under ₹10,000 to feel this smooth, but here we are. The display on the Hot 60 5G Plus runs at 120Hz, and you can actually see the difference. It’s not one of those fake refresh rates that look good on paper but lag when you scroll. This one’s properly snappy.

The screen is 6.7 inches with an HD+ resolution. It’s not the sharpest, but for the price, it holds up just fine. Text looks clean, and videos don’t feel grainy. What helps is the 700 nits peak brightness. I took it out during the day and had no trouble reading messages or checking directions.

The phone is also pretty slim, just 7.8mm thick, and it doesn’t feel bulky in the hand. It’s got an IP64 rating too, so you don’t have to panic if you get caught in the rain. It’s still a budget phone, but the design doesn’t scream cheap.

Reverse Charging, Bypass Mode and 5,200mAh Battery

If you’re the kind of user who hates seeing that low battery warning by evening, this phone’s got your back. The Infinix Hot 60 5G Plus comes with a solid 5,200mAh battery, giving you more than enough juice to power through the day, even with heavy 5G use and gaming.

Inside the box, you get an 18W fast charger. While it’s not blazing fast, it’s reliable and won’t overheat your phone. What’s interesting, though, are the extras. This phone supports reverse wired charging, so you can top up your earbuds or even help a friend out if their device dies.

Gamers will love bypass charging, a feature usually reserved for expensive gaming phones. When you plug in while gaming, it sends power directly to the mainboard instead of the battery. That means less heat and longer battery health. It’s a small detail, but for gamers or long Zoom callers, it makes a big difference.

Folax AI Button and XBoost Game Mode Add Intelligence

The AI button is what really sets this phone apart. You don’t see stuff like this in the budget segment. It sits just below the volume buttons, and you can set it to do all sorts of things. One press can open your favorite app. Long press, and it launches Folax, Infinix’s inbuilt voice assistant.

Folax isn’t here to replace anything. It’s just there when you need it.
Want to check the weather, start the camera, or set a quick reminder? Done. No fuss.
You don’t have to dig through menus or swipe through ten screens. Just press the button and it’s right there.
It’s not magic, but it makes the phone feel faster to use. And for this price, that’s a win.

Infinix has also added XBoost Game Mode and HyperEngine 5.0 Lite, which actually make a difference if you play games like BGMI or Free Fire. The phone can push up to 90fps in supported games, which is something you rarely get under ₹10,000. It also frees up RAM in the background to keep things running smooth while you game.

Camera Setup That Surprises at This Price

The camera on this phone is not just for show. It’s got a 50MP main sensor on the back that does a decent job in daylight. Colours come out sharp, and it doesn’t over-process like some other phones in this range.

The front has an 8MP selfie camera, and it even comes with an LED flash. That’s a nice touch for people who still take selfies at night or during power cuts. You know who you are.

You also get a bunch of AI camera modes. Stuff like Super Night, Beauty Portrait, Slow Motion, and even Dual Video, where both cameras record at the same time. It’s not perfect, but it’s fun to use and gives you options.

And yes, it can record up to 2K video. Not that everyone needs it, but it’s there if you want to push things a little.

Sale Price, Offers, and Free TWS Earbuds on Infinix Site

The official price is ₹10,499, but there’s a launch offer running where you get ₹500 off if you use any bank card. That brings the price down to ₹9,999, which is honestly great for what this phone offers.

It’ll go on sale starting July 17, and you can grab it from Flipkart, the Infinix India website, or even some offline stores. So wherever you usually shop, you’re covered.

And if you buy it directly from Infinix’s own site, they’re throwing in a free pair of XE23 TWS earbuds, worth ₹2,999. That’s a pretty solid bonus, especially if you were planning to buy new earbuds anyway.

The phone comes in three colours — Shadow Blue, Sleek Black, and Tundra Green. All of them look clean, so pick whatever matches your vibe.

Final Thoughts

The Infinix Hot 60 5G Plus isn’t trying to compete with premium phones. But what it’s doing really well is raising the bar for what a budget phone should feel like.

You’re getting 5G, a clean 120Hz display, a solid battery, and actual AI tools that work. Not just specs for the sake of marketing, but stuff you’ll actually use every day.

It’s a great pick if you’re buying your first 5G phone, need a solid backup device, or just want good performance without spending ₹15K or more. Infinix clearly knows what young users want, and for once, it feels like a phone that was built with them in mind.
