POCO has officially launched the F7 5G in India, further expanding its F-series lineup known for offering high-end specifications at mid-range prices. The latest model enters the market with a powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a large 7,550mAh battery, and a rare combination of IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings. Positioned as a performance-first device, the POCO F7 is set to appeal to users who value speed, durability, and long battery life — without crossing the ₹35,000 mark.
Powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Brings Flagship-Class Performance
At the heart of the POCO F7 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a chip that has already made its mark in more premium offerings like the iQOO Neo 10. POCO has paired this with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring faster read-write speeds and smooth multitasking. The performance is further enhanced by POCO’s 3D IceLoop vapor cooling system that uses a 6000mm² chamber to manage heat during intensive gaming or prolonged usage. The device is available in two configurations — 12GB+256GB at ₹31,999 and 12GB+512GB at ₹33,999. It will be sold exclusively through Flipkart starting July 1.
Bright AMOLED Display With Wet Touch and Future-Ready Security
The POCO F7 features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits. This makes the display comfortably visible under direct sunlight and capable of handling high dynamic range content with HDR10+ support. Notably, the display supports wet touch functionality, allowing it to remain usable even with damp fingers. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while biometric authentication is handled via an in-display fingerprint sensor, which now supports passkey-based logins — a subtle but future-proof addition.
Battery Life That Goes Beyond a Day, With Reverse Charging Included
The POCO F7 comes with one of the largest batteries in its class — a 7,550mAh unit that supports 90W wired fast charging. According to the company, the phone can charge from 7 to 25 percent in just 11 minutes, reach 50 percent in 35 minutes, and achieve a full charge in under 90 minutes. The charger is included in the box. For added convenience, the device also offers 22.5W reverse wired charging, letting users power up other accessories or even smartphones in case of emergency — effectively turning the F7 into a power bank when needed.
Sony IMX882 Sensor Leads the Dual Camera Setup
The POCO F7’s dual-camera system includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The main sensor delivers well-balanced daylight photos with natural colors and good sharpness, while the ultra-wide offers acceptable results, though with some softness at the edges. The front-facing 20MP camera is capable of detailed selfies and performs decently across lighting conditions. While the camera experience is not its primary highlight, the POCO F7 manages to deliver a solid photography experience for day-to-day use.
HyperOS 2.0 Based on Android 15 With Extended Update Support
Out of the box, the POCO F7 runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0, built on Android 15. The interface is clean and responsive, and POCO is promising four years of major Android updates along with six years of security patches. In a market where long-term software support is often overlooked in this segment, the POCO F7 stands out by offering a more future-proof experience.
Triple IP Rating Enhances Durability
One of the most unique aspects of the POCO F7 is its triple IP certification — IP66 for dust protection, IP68 for water submersion, and IP69 for high-pressure water resistance. These ratings place it far ahead of other phones in this price category in terms of ruggedness. The phone’s design also reflects this utilitarian approach, with a matte polycarbonate back and metallic side rails. While it weighs a noticeable 220 grams, the build quality feels sturdy and reliable.

Final Thoughts
The POCO F7 5G is a compelling addition to India’s mid-range smartphone market. It brings together high-end performance, a large battery, robust durability, and a bright, functional display — all at a competitive price. While the ultra-wide camera could be sharper and there’s minimal focus on AI-powered software features, the phone delivers where it counts. For users who want strong internals, reliable battery life, and long-term Android support without pushing into premium pricing, the POCO F7 is one of the most well-rounded choices available today.
